The Smallmouth Bass fishing in Shoo-Fly Lake is excellent. The lake is within walking distance of the lodge and easy to access.
Shoo-Fly Lake is a typical Canadian Shield Lake with a rocky shoreline and rocky shoals. Lots of rocks along with a good forage base makes Shoo-Fly Lake the perfect habitat for Smallmouth Bass to grow big.
Cooler water and lots of food makes our Smallmouth extra feisty thus adding to their legendary fight and surface breaking acrobatics. The cooler water also makes our Smallmouth Bass better to eat because they have no parasites.
We have one other lake that contains Smallmouth Bass, which is about 6 miles away. This other lake also has excellent bass fishing but the average size is a little bit smaller and the lake is not as convenient to access.
